After You Get Back is a film about two best friends searching for meaning in life again. After release from an in-patient mental health stay, Quinn is inspired to "run away" to the Oregon coast. Her best friend agrees, and their spontaneous getaway begins. But on the road, they soon realize that some things can't be outrun.

This film explores the difficult transition after being discharged from a mental health facility. This story is deeply personal and semi-autobiographical—I was there when my best friend attempted suicide, and I stood by her as she left the hospital, struggling to return to "normal life."
